April Clark . . . . . . . . . . . .

Yoga Blend Level 1, Yoga Blend Level 2

April Clark is a fun, high-spirited fitness guru. She moved to Los Angeles more than four years ago from Atlanta, Georgia where she worked in the fitness industry since the age seventeen. She even earned an Emmy nomination for a fitness segment she had on a local News Channel there. She derives energy from her love of teaching people about their bodies and motivating them to be fit and healthy. It is truly her life long passion.

She became certified in yoga and Pilates 1999. She has studied with some of the best in the world, teachers such as Shiva Rae and Duncan Wong. Prana – Life is energy and breath, inhale fully. Vinyasa- life is cycles of waves, move like water. Yoga – Life is a unified field, relax into oneness. Shiva teaches prana vinyasa flow yoga. We, like our planet are made up of 70% water. Water is the conductor of prana- life energy, nutrients, vibrations and subtle information. We will move with an awareness of fluid movement and fluid power. Duncan Wong is a master of yoga, very well known in Japan and all over Asia. Duncan created Yogic Arts which believes that each expansion and contraction of the breath, the yogic artist subsumes the ego into the cosmic wave within the ocean of bliss, merging with the greater Self.

Ms. Clark created a mesh of these two styles that she finds to be extremely powerful. Creating strength in the total body as well as openness with a focus on hip opening and core strengthening. You will go back to work feeling strong, energized, centered, and open to be the amazing creative beings that you are.
Ms. Clark also has a personalized approach to Pilates. Her Pilates class is a weave of classic Pilates and yoga presented in a very descriptive and informative way. Over time the participants’ awareness of their own bodies expand by connecting breath and core awareness. Combining therapeutic yoga poses with Pilates allows a level of relaxation with toning of the smaller muscles of the body that naturally engage the larger muscles. Moving the torso upwards allows the core to support you correctly improving body alignment.

She believes that you will return to your daily life standing and sitting a little taller and over time the structure of your body will improve. The participant will find them selves walking with a lifted heart while breathing deeper.
She encourages her students to share and communicate their needs to so that she can adjust to teach specifically for the participants. She considers herself to be a fun person and that translates in class.
